Who Are We?
We are The SCCCD Insiders—a coalition of faculty, classified professionals, administrators, and concerned community members committed to restoring integrity, transparency, and accountability to the State Center Community College District (the District or SCCCD).
1. Why Anonymity?
We speak anonymously not out of preference, but out of survival. Retaliation and intimidation are not abstract risks at the SCCCD. As we have reported, they are everyday realities in Chancellor Goldsmith’s regime. Careers have been destroyed, mental health shattered, and futures derailed simply for speaking the truth. Chancellor Goldsmith has weaponized personal ruin as a leadership strategy. Our anonymity is not cowardice, it is armor. It protects not just us, but our sources, who believe in transparency and accountability yet cannot afford to risk their livelihoods to uphold them.
2. What Spurred Our Coalition to Form?
Our members’ combined experience spans many decades. Not one of us—nor any of the sources we've consulted—can recall a time when employee morale across the District was lower than it is now. What makes this moment unprecedented is not just the dysfunction, but the intentional dismantling of shared governance and workplace protections. Under Chancellor Goldsmith’s administration, the rights of faculty—championed by the State Center Federation of Teachers (SCFT) and Academic Senates—along with the rights of classified professionals—represented by the California School Employees Association (CSEA) and Classified Senates—have been ignored, maligned, and openly disrespected.
We have witnessed retaliation by administration against faculty and classified professionals escalate to alarming levels. We have documented wasteful spending, preferential treatment for cronies, and taxpayer-funded perks that benefit only those in the Chancellor’s inner circle. This disturbing combination of mismanagement and malice is what brought us together. The SCCCD Insiders exist because the District’s leadership, specifically Chancellor Goldsmith and the Board, have abandoned their responsibility—and we refuse to.
3. Our Mission?
It is straightforward yet profound: we expose and seek to dismantle the systemic dysfunction, financial misconduct, culture of retaliation, and disdain for constituency voices that thrive under Chancellor Goldsmith’s tenure. We are unapologetic in our demand—the Board of Trustees must remove Chancellor Goldsmith. That is our goal and once that happens, our work will be complete, and we will dismantle. Until then, we will operate as an independent press, publishing documented investigations and verified reports about Chancellor Goldsmith’s mismanagement and wrongdoing.
4. Our Commitment?
We use rumors as leads, but they are not enough. Every article, exposé, and document we publish is carefully vetted and fact-checked to the best of our ability. When the facts don’t hold up, we discard the article, no matter how long we have worked on it. When they do hold up, we publish with purpose. Our work is not to provoke outrage for its own sake—it is to compel the SCCCD Board of Trustees to act. Accountability is long overdue. The system must be redirected to prioritize students, safeguard educational spaces, respect faculty and classified voices, steward public funds responsibly, and uphold the principles of shared governance.
5. Why Do We Speak Out?
Because silence in this case is complicity and we refuse to be complicit. Allowing this misconduct to go unchecked endangers the educational futures of millions of students and squanders hundreds of millions in taxpayer dollars. Through investigative reporting, we’ve exposed a consistent pattern: Chancellor Goldsmith suppresses dissent, manipulates policy, weaponizes legal systems, and governs without regard for ethical standards.
6. Join Our Effort
This is not just our battle—it’s yours, too. Whether you’re a faculty member, classified professional, administrator, taxpayer, or community member who believes in fairness and transparency, your voice matters. Share your experiences, send us documents, and help us hold power to account. Together, we can make the SCCCD a place of learning—not fear.
7. A Word for the Board
Trustees, the alarm has been ringing for months. The documents, the testimonies, the dollar signs—they all draw the same conclusion: this Chancellor and her administration are corrupt. Every day you delay action is a day students suffer, educators despair, employees are harmed, and the public trust erodes. Will you remain complicit through silence, or will you finally uphold your duty to this District?
The choice—and responsibility—is yours.
